Due to the growth of data volume and the evolution of software technology, data analysis has evolved from simply understanding historical data to predicting the future, creating unprecedented business models. This "basic course" follows the concept of data mining, the application of rules, and data warehousing technology. It explores statistical theories such as classification, regression, clustering, association rules, and data analysis techniques such as decision-making. Through the use of big data tools and professional software like R language, the course is designed to achieve practical implementation through hands-on learning.

The aim is to attract students from business management to extract hidden correlations and features from data, extract valuable business intelligence (BI), and apply it to the foundation and core of enterprise services, thereby disrupting traditional business models.

The goal of this course is to enhance the digital application capabilities of non-information management or computer science students in business intelligence. With the growth of data volume, the evolution of software technology, and the maturity of cloud environments, data analysis has evolved from understanding historical data to predicting the future, and even creating unprecedented business models. The aim is to equip students with the core competency of "international business management professional knowledge" and also utilize case discussions to foster the core competency of "innovation and problem-solving skills." Lastly, through student discussions, the course aims to cultivate the core competency of "teamwork and communication skills."
