Financial/International Trade Theory and Policy/Professor Wen Bin Chuang
Specialty Electives/International Trade Theory and Policy/Professor Wen Bin Chuang/Financial Subfields
The main goal is to provide a comprehensive and clear introduction to international trade theory and policy. This course can be divided into three parts: the first part covers static trade theory, including traditional theories like the Ricardian model, specific factors model, and the H-O model. The next part relaxes certain assumptions, such as economies of scale and externalities. The third part introduces various trade policies and examines how these policies affect trade activities between countries. Through examples and discussions of current world events, the aim is to equip students with the core ability of "international perspective" and also utilize the introduction of international trade theory to achieve the core competency of "business and management."
